The good, the BROW and the ugly..

When I started my beauty training many years back, the thought of shaping my eyebrows was very far from my mind, until that module came up for discussion that is. My lecturer took one look at me with a raised condescending, judging brow..and it was all over!! From that day on I maintain that wearing minimal make up is OK as long as you have perfectly groomed brows. Its amazing how your brows just frame your face and say..I care about the way I look. Some simple steps to do them yourself and achieve a polished look. If you're like me..I trust noONE when it comes to mine.
Make sure you have a clean, pair of precision tweezers, best found at the local Clicks or Dis-Chem even.
If you squeamish, ice your brows to numb them initially but you will get used to tweezing them after a while.
The rules are simple, and yes there are rules regarding the shaping.
The end result should have the above points taken into consideration. The start of your brow should be in line with the inner part of your eye, connecting with the side of your nose. Remove any stray hairs outside of this area. The highest point of your brow should be at the centre of your pupil and finally your brow should end and be in a diagonal line with the outer end of your eye. Tweeze in the direction of your hair growth and do this one hair at a time, this will minimise the pain as well. Take your time as you cannot undo any mistakes. Always remove hair underneath the eyebrow, NEVER tweeze above the brow area. Do not try to drastically change them at first, but rather tidy up the fine hairs so that you will end up with a neat groomed shape. Use an eyebrow brush when doing this to comb and neaten as you go along. If you feel like it its too much, try using a professional to do them for you. There are many different techniques available like waxing and threading etc. Once again, find what works best for you and your lifestyle. Use these tips to keep them neat in between your salon sessions.
Sending some weekend love..
